As a child growing up in the Czech Republic, my father instilled in me the importance of a good work ethic and a love for nature. Like me, my father was also a woodworker, and even though his approach to his craft was very humble, I could see in each piece he created a special celebration of the beautiful gifts the earth offers us.

With every sculpted rocking chair I create, I aim to honor my father’s work, and that of masters like Sam Maloof and Hal Taylor. I strive to make each rocker more comfortable, more beautiful, and more durable than the last. With the help of Carol and Curtis Martin of Martin Custom Woodworking and Antiques, I have been able to develop my craft and continue my quest to produce the finest rockers available.
